GPS Not Working or Not Installed on 03 GX470?
Morning All -
I recently bought a 2003 GX470 from CarMAX (first time going there.) It included the navigation (ver 0.2) and all that fun stuff.
Did the 2003 GX470 come with GPS or only speed / direction navigation or should that simply be the backup to GPS? I can't seem to find the answer online. The only thing I've found is that GPS antenna could be bad - but I don't know if it even had one to begin with.
Before hitting the road, I set the navigation to my area of the US (TN) then off I went. I have found over the past couple of days, though, that the car seems to be using direction & speed for navigation instead of GPS.
If I calibrate the correct position and even reset the new tires button, it's off after a few minutes.
Yesterday, I set my home address and work address. This morning, I configured the position at home, then started the route to work. Half way there, I was only a bit off. By the time I was almost at work, though (~40 mile trip,) it was off by about 5 miles in an odd direction.
Note - I also upgraded maps DVD this morning before leaving going from version 0.2 to 10.1.
