Default New (to me) 2005 ES330!

I bought my gem of a car, an ES330, back on October 10th and I've been thoroughly enjoying it. The heated seats feel awesome on my back and I can't wait to start "ripping" into the car!

"Did he say ripping into his car," you might be thinking and maybe that is too harsh of a word to use. More like lightly modifying it.

I know I want a good Bluetooth solution and I tried a GROM USB2 Plus with no success and I'm in the process of sending the thing back to I might try the USB3 unit and buy it directly from GROM once I get my money back.

Now, what I have been considering is upgrading my head unit in my car to one that is CarPlay capable such as with the Pioneer 4000-NEX unit. It is very tempting, despite the price (I was quoted $1100 installed by The Specialist for everything but a backup camera) and it would give my car capabilities and functionality that some new Lexus cars don't have.

Other then the GROM unit I had tried is there maybe another cost effective solution that would give me Bluetooth phone support with EXCELLENT call quality, Bluetooth audio streaming and/or USB support?
